While I’ve been busy plotting my conquest of the writing world (three articles accepted in one week! Hurray!) my friend Lacey has been writing about issues close to my heart at the Young Adult Catholics blog. Her post Condoms, Catholicism, and Consent addressed the church’s response to the spread of AIDS in Africa. She made the very excellent point that neither programs promoting absitinence and fidelity or programs passing out condoms have much chance of sucess until the church and the world tackles one of the root causes of the spread of AIDS in Africa.
